The New School’s College of Performing Arts is pleased to announce the 54th annual New York String Orchestra Seminar, conducted by Jaime Laredo

This nationally acclaimed program will host some of the nation’s most celebrated young musicians in New York City from Monday, December 19, through Wednesday, December 28, 2021. During the seminar, student musicians prepare for two different orchestral programs to be presented by Carnegie Hall on December 24 and December 28 by taking part in intensive orchestral rehearsals with Jaime Laredo and soloists Rubén Rengal, violin, and Jonathan Biss, piano, and attending chamber music workshops with some of the country's most celebrated artists.
